I really liked the whimsical feel to this layout ... however, mine didn't turn out nearly as whimsy and cute! I took some liberties w/ the basic design and actually struggled w/ my image and color choices ... I might go back and do another LO based on this sketch ...

Okay, so you asked for my honest opinion... If you were going for whimsy, I agree with you, that did not come across in this layout. The fleur de lis gives it a more formal feel. I think if the pictures were more clustered together and the flower surrounding them, you would have a better chance af a whimsy feel. I do like the color choices though... my 2 cents worth.
ReplyDeletetotally agree ... the 'whimsy' went out the door when I selected the colors and photos ... I like the LO, just not for the sketch ... I'm gonna take another stab at it w/ different pics and a better color scheme ...
