Love Fore The Game - Designed for 'Show Us Your Stuff' June Challenge #2

Over at Show Us Your Stuff, the June #2 challenge is Teal, Cream and a handmade element ...

I had fun with this challenge ... those are colors that are very easy for me to use ... my issue was figuring out how I was gonna place all of the elements on my page ... This photo was taken at the Cantegril Country Club in Punta Del Este, Uruguay .... and I really wanted to include the course book so Kev could pull it out at any time and relive the round!  I'm pretty happy with the way this page turned out ... I used a plain cardstock background and misted it with CTMH Twilight (LOVE that color!) ... for my handmade element, I made the pocket for the book and fussy cut the swirl at the top ...

TFL ... as always, honest comments/opinions are appreciated!

This Day Rocked - Designed for My Scraps "Got Talent" contest Week #3

This week over at My Scraps - Got Talent?! Contest the challenge proved to be a bit difficult for me ... We needed to create a 2 page LO using patterned paper that you normally wouldn't see together ... the DT example was absolutely gorgeous, using flowery, delicate patterned paper and some super cute skull paper ... my first instinct was to do something similar, but I didn't want to be a copy cat ... so I tried to come up with something else ... 2 pagers are hard enough for me to do, let alone w/ the twist of the paper thing ...  I realized when I was 1/2 way into the project that this also fit "The Paper Variety" challenge #38 ... so I've entered there also ...

So .... Here's what I came up with!  TFL!

Create Your Own Precious Memories - Designed for June 123 Challenge

Again, my endless blog surfing has proved fruitful!  I happened upon this adorable site and I just fell in love w/ the challenge ... they gave you 3 criteria for your LO:

Color: Brown
Word: Create
Technique:  Use Tape - decorative or masking ...

Well, twist my arm to use brown!  One of my absolute favorite colors ...The challenge for me came in the form of the word ... I was having trouble coming up w/ a creative way to use it in my title ... I opened a word doc and just started typing ideas until one of them stuck!

Here's my take ...

With Force They Flow - Designed for Back Porch Memories - July GDT Challenge

So, in my endless blog surfing, I came across a GDT call over at Back Porch Memories.  I stopped to take a look and was really inspired by the sketch they provided ... so I thought I'd take a shot at it ...

Here's the inspiration sketch:

Here's my take on this sketch:

They announced the winner today, and I'm sad to say that it wasn't me ... the woman who won was very deserving ... her LO was awesome!

I did, however, win the random draw and am now expecting some goodies in the mail ... courtesy of Back Porch Memories!  I'm quite excited to see what the mailman brings!!

1..2..3 Smile - Designed for My Scraps: Got Talent?! Challenge

So my friend, Lisa, and I are participating in the My Scraps: Got Talent?! Challenge that runs for 8 weeks ... well, this is week 2 and our challenge was a sketch this time around ... I have a bit of a hard time w/ this sketch because of the colors ... I prefer a sketch to be B/W so there are no influences on my LO ... I struggle to look past the colors presented ...

Anyway, here's the sketch:

This time I did look past the colors in the sketch and I'm quite happy with the result ... It actually turned out much simpler than a lot of my recent work ...

I love to RELAX - Designed for WW1 June Challenge

Oh, how I LOVE WW1 ... the challenges are fantastic!  This month, they issued the following challenge:

White w/ RED ... use circles or polka dots on your page also ... Whooo Hooo ... I'm a HUGE polka dot fan ... bordering on obsessed!

Here's what I came up with:

My instincts wanted me to put red cardstock behind my overlay, but the 'scrap outside of the box' part of me chose to go w/ white ... since the site really is WHITE with 1 ...

As always, honest comments/critiques/opinions are greatly appreciated!!!

Cheers-

Pam
