sigh ... it has been quite a while since I've updated my blog! I haven't done much scrapping during that time, either ... between a demanding day job and vacation there really hasn't been much time. Now, with the weather finally getting good, my scrappy time will probably be limited based on outside activities. I really NEED to get my behind in gear and get the Germany albums done, though. We'll be going to Alaska in late July and there will be a ton of work to do from that trip. I think I'll need to do about 6 albums from that trip alone! That will definitely keep me busy for quite some time ...
Anyway, back to the task at hand: Color Me Scrappy Challenge #38.
Here's the color palette and the twist this time around was to use paint or mist on your layout. I opted for the mist route.

Color Me Scrappy Challenge #34
I like the challenges coming every 2 weeks much better than weekly ... I always felt rushed when we had a reveal every Thursday.
I'm ready for spring. Seriously. I need warmth and sunshine in my life again. This color palette makes me realize that it's close, just not close enough!
I'm pretty happy with my result ... pink usually isn't my thing but I'm liking it on this page ...
Don't forget to stop by Color Me Scrappy to see what the rest of our awesome design team came up with and to link your page for a chance to win a mystery bag full of goodies!

Color Me Scrappy Challenge #33
Happy Friday Everyone!
Challenge #33 marks the start of another Design Team term. We're sad to see some very talented ladies leave us, but thrilled with the level of talent that has replaced them. The outgoing team will always have a special place in our hearts ...
Here's the fresh, happy palette for Challenge #33
This palette makes me long for spring and warmer weather ...
Here's the twist: use this sketch by our fabulously talented Christina Collins
Here's my take on this yummy palette:
I was really surprised when I went through my stash, I had way more mint green than I thought I did ... I'm really happy with the end result as well ... and for some strange reason, really loving the simple pages these days.

CMS #30
This post is slightly out of order, but I'm finally getting around to taking pics of this layout! I loved this color palette, over the years orange has become one of my favorite colors!
Color Me Scrappy #31
The winter blah's have hit ... I'm sick of the cold, sick of the snow and sick of the freezing rain. I should seriously rethink the state I live in. I think I'd like to be a snow bird. Florida in the winter sounds fabulous. Michigan in the summer is beautiful. Now, how to make that happen?? My job isn't the problem ... I can work from anywhere ... my better half, well ... he'd probably have to retire for us to be able to split our time ... sigh ... someday!
In the meantime, I have an update to the '100 pages before buying anything scrappy' challenge that Lisa and I are doing. I'm at 71 and she is at 68! Fantastic progress! Our goal is to finish by Mother's Day weekend so we can go to the Mega Meet and stock up on some great deals!
Here's the color palette for Color Me Scrappy's 31st challenge:

CMS Design Team
Lisa and I had a very difficult time selecting the new design team members for the next CMS term. We had a lot of fantastic applications and feel like we've chosen quite a few different styles to compliment the existing team. We'd love to thank everyone who applied and encourage them to apply next time around, you all really did a great job! Here are the latest Design Team members:
I am from a small town in Northern Ontario Canada where we've been having crazy winter weather lately. I have a secret passion for scrapbooking and cardmaking. I have always had a creative side; sketching, drawing, painting, mixed media... I have tried them all and I love it! I am married to the sweetest man who loves to travel. We have 2 beautiful children together and 2 spoiled Siamese cats. I have been scrapbooking for over 10 years now. I love how it has evolved and grown. Keeps me ready to create :)
My name is Manda and I am a graphic designer living in Melbourne, Australia. I love all things paper and being creative. My first adventure into the world of paper crafting was back in 2005 when I started making cards to give to family and friends, I soon became so addicted to card making and the next logical step was to move onto scrapbook pages and since then I have never looked back. I am a bit of a sketch and challenge addict because I find them as a great starting point. I am owner of Mandalika Designs, an online store selling both printable and physical journal cards and elements for scrapbooking that I have designed myself. I have
I live in Iowa with my husband and 2 beautiful daughters. I'm very lucky to be a stay at home mom to my girls. Both my girls are in school full time now they are in 1st and 3rd grade. Now that they are in school I spend my free time at the gym, volunteering at school, taking an online photography class to improve my photography skills and scrapbooking. I started scrapbooking over ten years ago (wow that makes me feel old). My first scrapbook was my wedding book looking back at it I can see how my style has evolved. My style has changed over the years just like the different trends in scrapbooking have come and gone. We moved last summer for my husbands job so I was lucky enough to get a room to use for my scrapbooking so I am able to leave projects out as I go. My dream would be to some day have a project published in a scrapbook magazine I just love to show people my work and hope that I inspire them some way.
My
name is Mary Bennetts and I have been scrapping for about 9 years. I
have always loved pretty papers, stationary and photo's, so scrapbooking
is the perfect craft for me, I must say it is more a passion than a
craft. I do something scrap related nearly every day.
I
am married with 3 grown children, 2 adorable Grandchildren and one very
spoilt old dog named Scruffy. I live at Orange NSW, we grow nearly
everything , but no Oranges! I love to travel, enjoy reading and meeting
friends for coffee.
When
I am scrapping the photo and story tend to dictate what style the
layout takes, and I like to try new techniques and I am totally addicted
to all things scrappy.
I
have been a happy scrapper for 15 years now. It helps that I have 3
willing subjects, my kids! I have 2 girls (Brittany - 22 and Jessica
-10) and my little guy (Jason -5). With this age range, I can pretty
much scrap just about every subject out there. Which makes me a happy
shopper…i mean, scrapper. :) My style is pretty simple and clean, but
I'm willing to try any technique at least once. Nothing wrong with
trying new things!
