CMS Challenge #22

I'm thankful that I got this page done last month at my scrappy weekend, because I sure wouldn't have had time to do so recently! Work has kept me very busy and I'm thankful that I'm done for the rest of the year! My plans include lots of painting and lots of scrappy time, filled in by parties and gatherings. This time around, Lisa and I chose to go with non-traditional Xmas colors ... we figured we'd make you think outside the box on this one.

Here's my take on these colors ...

Color Me Scrappy - Challenge #19

Wow ... the year has flown by already!  I can't believe Thanksgiving has passed and we're gearing up for the Xmas holiday season!!!  

I'm totally in LOVE w/ this palette ... Grey and Orange are 2 of my favorite colors right now ... I think if I could paint every room Grey and have pops of orange, I would!!!

Wow, with the new format ... the challenges are flying at me!  I love this color combo and our Design Team knocked this one out of the park!

The twist this week is to use the word "ENTER" in either your title or journaling ...

Color Me Scrappy - Challenge 15!

Wow, it's the first reveal of our new Design Team!  Lisa and I are thrilled to have the continued support and participation from so many talented ladies ... this has been an awesome adventure so far, and we hope it just continues to grow!

Some of you may know, we made some changes to the way that Color Me Scrappy works:

Also, don't forget about our format changes!  We're excited to mix things up a bit and hope you are too!

Our first change is to go to weekly challenges with a twist.  They will be revealed each and every Thursday and will look like this:

• color challenge + sketch
• color challenge + "word"
• color challenge + technique
• color challenge + white, black or kraft BG
• color challenge (for those months with 5 Thursdays)

Each challenge will be open for 2 weeks, which gives you plenty of time to get your LO in.

Our prizes will still be awarded monthly, but the more LOs you complete, the more times your name gets dropped in the hat, which obviously improves your chances to win!!  We are still prohibitive to having only US and Canadian winners due to the cost of shipping, but there is something coming for our international players as well...

We will have a "Top 3" each and every month.  This is voted on by our DT and the winners of this have the opportunity to come back as Guest Designers the following month.

Color Me Scrappy - Challenge #13

October 1st ... where has the year gone?  It was this time last year that Lisa and I started kicking around ideas to start out own challenge blog ... low and behold, a year later and here we are!  Challenge #13 has been posted, our first Design Team's term is coming to an end and we're sorting through applications for the next term of Designers ... wow!  In that time I've also started my own kit club (Peace, Love & Scrapbooking) ... things have been hectic in my scrapping world, but I wouldn't change it for anything! 

Here's the fabulous palette we've selected to welcome fall to our lives ... seems appropriate, dontcha think?!

My page features photos from our trip to Germany last year (are you sick of them yet?!)  I messed up in the planning and didn't realize that you needed a reservation to tour the Reichstag ... and they were sold out the entire time we were there ... so all we got to do was see the outside ...

Peace, Love & Scrapbooking - July Kit Inspiration

So I'm a little behind on my Design Team duties for Peace, Love & Scrapbooking ... life has been busy this summer!  I spent Saturday scrapping with my good friend, Lisa, and was able to complete this page.    I'm totally IN LOVE with the result!   What do you think?

Oh, how I love to create with sketches!   Especially when my MoJo is nowhere to be found!  Thankfully, that wasn't the case with this page ... I am very happy with my result!

Sketches In Thyme - September #1

I totally adore the sketch over at Sketches In Thyme right now ... but I'm not thrilled with my result.  I think it's the color palette I chose to work with ... not typical colors for me, and I think that's the problem.  Oh well ... since I took the time to create the page, I might as well enter it .... don't we all have a page or 2 that aren't our favorites?   I was scrapping with my friend, Lisa, on Saturday and we got quite a bit done ... this was the only page that I said 'eh' to ... so I guess I didn't do too badly!

Kraft It Up - September

I'm a BIG fan of Kraft paper ... so this wasn't too far of a stretch at all ...

Twist my arm for any type of a color challenge as well :)   Here's what I came up with ... I'm thrilled with the result!

Color Me Scrappy - Challenge #11

Sigh.  Summer is nearing the end and that means that the golf season is winding down.  I have spent a LOT of time golfing and loving every minute of it.  I have, however, managed to find time to get somewhere around 20-25 pages done this summer ... so I feel some sense of accomplishment over that.  With the end of the warm weather comes the start of another favorite season of mine:  SCRAPBOOKING SEASON!!

I've really been drawn to more simple layouts (thank you, Pinterest!) and have been trying to channel those scrappy goddesses into my own work ...

Sketch ~N~ Scrap: Guest Designer Page

I've recently stumbled upon an AWESOME sketch site: Sketch ~N~ Scrap!   They're having a Guest Designer contest and since I just adored that sketch, I figured I'd give it a shot.  Those of you who follow me regularly know that I've been saddened by the recent trends in the 'online scrapbooking' industry and the loss of several blogs that I've followed for a long time.   So, the recent discovery of Sketch ~N~ Scrap has my creative juices flowing again and I couldn't be more excited about it!

Color Me Scrappy - Challenge #10

I struggled w/ this palette at first ... but forced myself to not 'over-think' it like I usually do!  This came together VERY quickly and I'm thrilled w/ the result ... what do you think?
