Missed Deadline

So, my better half was gone for a few nights last week and I had some great scrappy time while he was away!  I created this page for the CSI Case File #21 ... but forgot to upload my photos in time for the deadline ... DOH!   I figured I'd share it with you anyway ... because if you know me, you totally realize that purple/raspberry is a very tough color for me to use ... but I'm stoked w/ how this turned out!  Shockingly, I like the page!

ok ... so I have a confession:  I'm addicted to banners right now.  There, I said it ... I feel much better now!

The current Creative Scrappers Sketch fit in perfectly with my newly admitted addiction, so I went along with it!

Color Me Scrappy - Challenge #5

June 1st. Wow. That means 2 things: One, the year is still flying by at warp speed and Two, my dear friend Lisa will be moving back to Michigan NEXT WEEK! I'm soooooo flippin excited I can hardly stand it. I guess it means 3 things ... the third being far more scrappy time w/ Lisa ... and boy do I need it! I've recently started working on our Germany trip from last fall and have 5 books to do! Apparently we took way too many photos that I want to scrap ... but isn't that what this is really all about anyway? Preserving our memories? Somehow I thought it was sorta about hanging w/ girlfriends and having cocktails, too!

Anyway, enough rambling and onto the good stuff: Lisa and I had fantastic participation for the very first Color Me Scrappy challenge and ever since then the entries have dropped off. We're also having a bit of trouble finding more sponsors due to that lack of participation, so we've made a decision to only offer one prize each month until we can find more sponsors. If you enter both challenges in a given month, you'll get 2 entries into the random prize drawing! If you're a company looking to sponsor and up and coming challenge blog, we'd love to hear from you!

May 1 2 3 Challenge

So, nothing like waiting til the last minute to photograph and post the layouts I did for challenges this month, eh?!  Yeah, I know ... I do everything at the very last minute ... must be in my DNA!  I think I work best under pressure ...

Anyway, I'm quite happy with the way this one turned out ... I love orange and baker's twine ... so it really wasn't much of a 'challenge' for me to put this one together ...

I LOVED working with this palette!  When my friend, Lisa, suggested that we do this challenge I was a bit worried ... didn't think that it would have enough color or would be really tough to do ... little did I know that this would be one of my favorite pages!
